A Classic Session beer, this is the most popular beer produced by Country Life Brewery, it has a real depth of taste and character without being to strong.
Maris Otter and Roasted malt’s combine with Fuggles and Golding hops give Old Appledore a taste to be enjoyed at any time of the day!

One of our newer beers, Copper in colour Lacey’s Ale is made from Maris Otter and Roasted malt with Challenger Hops giving this popular beer a gentle sweet malty taste without being too strong.
Some outlets have been known to put their own name and label to this one.
POT WALLOP - 4.4% abv
This is a very light straw coloured beer made for a local festival. It was so popular we had no choice but to include it as a seasonal beer. A favourite with the younger drinker and in the warm summer months as it is a very light easy drinking refreshing ale. (March - November)

GOLDEN PIG - 4.7% abv
As the name implies, Golden Pig is Gold coloured full bodied and smooth tasting premium ale. It was the first brewed and still remains the favourite among many a real ale drinker.
Maris otter along with crystal and wheat malts are used in the mash, with challenger being the main hop gives this ale a very pleasing and distinctive taste. Voted North Devon's best ale!

BLACK BOAR - 5% abv
This dark Ruby Red Porter is brewed using Maris otter and black malt, combined with Fuggles and Golding hop’s makes this easy drinking porter with lots of character. Smokey and rich on the nose, coffee and toffee notes develop in the mouth.
This porter has a light, refreshing mouthful and a delicate rather than beefy body. (November – June)
The strongest regular beer we brew, bumpkin is darkish and slightly malty tasting old ale. Not as sweet as some beers in this strength band, it is a great beer for those who like a full tasting ale. Brewed using Maris otter and chocolate malt along with challenger hops. Giving Country Bumpkin a malty full flavoured smooth taste.

Very special limited edition Barley Wine style ale only brewed once or twice a year mainly for bottling with a dozen casks allowed to mature then normally available through selected Beer festivals.
“Chestnut brown in colour. Sweet, alcoholic, fruit cake nose. Well rounded voluptuous barley wine style, with a fruit cake and fiery alcoholic character which is tempered with a malty smoothness.
